Il presidente di Haiti all'Onu: "Create i Caschi rossi Sarebbero i fratelli umanitari dei Caschi blu"
Appello alla comunità internazionale e al segretario delle NU di René Préval e dell'ex ministro francese Nicole Guedj "E' stata la catastrofe di troppo. Ci siamo resi conto che non abbiamo imparato niente dalle lezioni dello Tsunami". "Per la disorganizzazione perse troppe vite, serve una forza di reazione rapida che coordini i soccorsi"  

Port-au-Prince - Ad un mese dal catastrofico terremoto che ha sconvolto Haiti, l'isola è ancora alle prese con il caos dei soccorsi.

Nicole Guedj Tells Us All About Her Meeting with UN Secretary General.
The Conference Towards a New Future for Haiti gathered 100 member states donors at the UN on March 31, in New York. On the sidelines of this meeting, Rene Preval Nicole Guedj and met with Ban Ki-moon.

"As I am back from New York, where I attended the Conference on the Reconstruction of Haiti, I hope that the coming months will mark a turning point in the history of humanitarian action.

Plea at the UN for the creation of humanitarian “Red Helmets”
New York, 31 March 2010 (AFP) - Haitian President Rene Préval and former French Minister Nicole Guedj, plead Wednesday in New York for the creation of “Red Helmets”, a humanitarian operational force under the auspices of the UN, to coordinate the emergency responses in the aftermath of a disaster.  

“The generosity of nations must be disciplined”, Préval declared in front of the international conference of donors at the New York headquarters of the UN.
