After recently winning the subvention of Nathalie Kosciusko-Morizet, French Minister of Digital Economy, the Red Helmets Foundation will offer as soon as early 2010, a mobilephone application for the Alerte Enlèvement. Available on iPhone, Androïd, Blackberry, Windows Mobile and others smartphones, it will enable to alert instantaneously, 2 out of 3 French persons of a child kidnapping.
On the activation of the alert, the users that would have uploaded the application will receive a notification alert on their mobile that will give them the description of the kidnapped child. The users will then be able to participate in the research by telephone, text or e-mail.
Three years after its establishment and only a few months after the creation of the "e-@lerte, enlèvement" the device adapts itself once again to a new telecommunication usage. Its adaptation on to French mobile phones will optimise its efficiency, as affirms Nicole Guedj, president of the Red Helmets Foundation: ‘Not every French people are in front of their computer in the middle of the afternoon, however most of them always have their mobile phones on them. Thanks to the diffusion of these alert messages on the Web and on the mobile phones, it is the whole French community that will be able to mobilise in order to save endangered children."
