Each natural disaster involves the disappearance of many victims.
However, nowadays no system makes it possible for families to carry out an active and optimum searching.
That is why the Red Helmets Foundation suggests the creation of a worldwide humanitarian search engine of missing people named MISSING, to systematize the steps and to centralize information within the first crucial hours of the crisis.
On Tuesday, the Secretary of State for digital economy announced that 92 applications were selected within the framework of its calls for projects, aiming at supporting « serious » video games, with teaching or awareness vocation, as well as innovating Web services.
From May 27, when the calls for application were launched, to July 6, 506 projects were submitted.
Among the 340 files for the Web 2.0, 44 were selected including Missing, the first worldwide humanitarian web browser of missing people, suggested by the Red Helmets Foundation.
This project will be developed with the assistance of Bearstech, AF83 and European Consulting Services.
