Four years after its establishment, there is no doubt about the effectiveness of the kidnapping alert. Triggered on nine occasions, it has saved the lives of ten children.

Particularly pionner in this field, the Red Helmets Foundation has innovated for several years to strengthen the use of this device by offering the victims the new technologies of
information and communication. This long process has recently resulted in two projects.

In May 2009, the Red Helmets Foundation created the e-@lerte enlèvement on the Internet. In partnership with Orange, Free, Vodafone, Google, Yahoo, Microsoft, Daylimotion, Blogspirit, ASIC and Silicon Sentier, more than 15 million additional Internet users will be now instantaneously aware of the trigger of an alert.

Conforted by this success, the Red Helmets Foundation has launched in February 2010 a mobile application Alerte Enlèvement with the support of mobile applications portal utilities, Proxima mobile. Iness than two months after the iPhone application has been downloaded by nearly 50,000 users. In the coming days, the application will also be available on Blackberry, Android and Windows Mobile. Overall, 2 French persons out of 3 will be mobilized to save children's lives in danger.

Nicole Guedj, who is at the origin of this device, also advocates the expansion of the kidnapping alert on a European scale.
