Washington, 10 mars 2010 (BBC Mundo) - El presidente de Haití, René Preval, propuso crear una fuerza multinacional humanitaria que pueda actuar inmendiatemente cada vez que se produzca un desastre natural, como el reciente terremoto que asoló su país matando a unas 200.000 personas, según estimaciones oficiales.
Washington, 11 Mars 2010 (La Jornada) - El presidente de Haití, Rene Préval, propuso hoy sacar lecciones del sismo del 12 de enero que destruyó Puerto Príncipe y sus alrededores y crear en la Organización de Naciones Unidas (ONU) los cascos rojos, una fuerza militar internacional similar a los cascos azules dedicados a la pacificación en zonas de conflicto, que maneje la ayuda internacional y el orden público en situaciones de desastre natural.

Making his second brief visit to the wrecked capital Port-au-Prince since the January 12 quake, Ban sought to restore momentum to what some fear is faltering donor support for efforts to help more than a million homeless quake survivors.
